Extra Curricular Programs
In following with the dedication to educate the whole child, Resurrection recognizes the need to provide opportunities to students encouraging the growth and development of their sense of self beyond the classroom.
RPCS students are actively involved in extra-curricular activities, of which for the past several years 100% of the graduating class took part. Over 39% of eligible students participate in the offered sports, not including those who tried out but were but because of roster limitations were unable to keep all interested parties. For fine arts programs, over 15% of eligible students take advantage of these opportunities. Student Government has a participation rate of 14%, based again on potential student participants from grades 5th-8th.
Sports for 5th-8th graders:
- Cheerleading
- Boys’ and girls’ basketball
- Boys’ and girls’ softball
- Girls’ volleyball
- Co-ed soccer
- Co-ed track/cross country running for all grades.
Fine arts programs:
- First Coast School of Music (band and instrument lessons)
- Parish Children’s Choir
- Readers’ Theatre
- Christmas Program
- Resurrection Revue (talent show)
